The much anticipated Lagos International Poetry Festival 2018 (LIPFest), kicked off on the 31st of October with a workshop by Yomi Sode and the opening ceremony/cocktail.

    Ever since I joined every event I’ve seen have been for Lagos.
    Lagos is the hub of everything serious, innovative, exciting, educative, you name it! It’s time these events are held across other capitals in Nigeria, like Port Harcourt, Calabar etc. Young minds can get inspired cause I’m positive we have lots of talents here waiting /praying for opportunities.

      I also feel that other people in other states who have the means should contact these already existing organizers so they can cook up something. Or even organize their own events.

    I agree with you. Organisers of these events need to seriously consider spreading their tentacles all over the country.
