Funmi Akinwale’s Life: Deal with It succinctly presents thoughts and pearls of wisdom that would have taken thousands of words to convey into the minds of readers in a witty and accessible manner.

Clearly, its a great book and i’m not the only one that read it – It began selling on the first day it landed on OkadaBooks.
The book’s poetry relies on simplicity in reaching its target audience. They are simple and straight-forward, yet laden with meanings and fecundity. These poems have the capacity to inspire feelings and actions. Here’s what other people have to say about it

Review by Raymond

When you have names like Poju-Oyemade, Mahatma Gandhi & JESUS OF NAZARETH (the Christ, our Lord), popping up in the first few pages of a book, that alone has some type of heightened effect on the curiosity of anyone who understands what these names stand for and the principles (in actual practice) that govern the lives and living of these individuals.

Ever the straight shooter, with Funmi what you see is what you get….no contrivances; having met (almost by accident) & worked with her on one of the many causes that she is ever so passionate about, it didn’t strike me as too much of a surprise that this kind of literature would be conceived by a mind such as hers.

The piece reads firstly as an inspirational/motivational, but not at all in the typical sense as its interpretation, flow and structure enamours it with a Selah-like (if you will) yet subtly playful feel.

DISCIPLINE
Do what must be done even when you do not feel like it.

PATIENCE
Accept delay in a state of calm…..this is Capacity

We are taken on a thought-strengthening ride with this book, from TOUGH TRUTHS & CRITICAL VALUES, to the warmth of knowing that SELFLESSNESS & SERVICE remain VIRTUES that the volatility of time will never taint…..both being the forebears of true LEGACY.

We learn of Men….of greatness and the pursuit of excellence….of God; we gain knowledge, we receive LIGHT.
“……………Sometimes the dots cannot (will never) connect, no matter how long (and hard) you stay at it; leave them unconnected….. move on.”

It’s LIFE – Deal With It.

I wholeheartedly endorse and recommend this book by Funmi Akinwale.
