If you have read ‘The Secret Lives of Baba Segi’s Wives’ by Lola Shoneyin, then an on-screen adaptation might excite you. If you haven’t read the book, but wouldn’t mind watching the movie, you should equally be excited.

Netflix, which is a U.S media services provider and production company, has signed a partnership deal with EbonyLife TV CEO and media personality, Mosunmola Abudu popularly known as Mo Abudu.

What this means for literary enthusiasts is that there would be on-screen adaptations of books by Lola Shoneyin and Nobel Laureate, Wole Soyinka. The Secret Lives of Baba Segi’s Wives would be adapted into a series while Soyinka’s play, Death and the King’s Horseman, into a film.

This partnership is a big deal because apparently, EbonyLife TV is the first African media production company to seal a multiple deal with Netflix.
